Kids For Kids:
There are several ways your child can get involved with Julia’s Butterfly Foundation. By sponsoring an event or even giving up their gifts, these child-friendly based activities can go a long way to help with only a little effort, while positively impacting the lives of sick children.  These projects can be for personal growth or to earn community service hours for school or for religious projects for Confirmation and Bar/Bat Mitzvah projects.  Julia’s Butterfly Foundation will recognize the child’s generosity with a special “Act of Charitable Kindness” certificate presented to the child/children organizing the event.  The foundation will also submit a press release to the Wyckoff, Oakland and Franklin Lakes Town Journals on the internet as well as area newspapers describing the event and money raised.

Butterfly Birthday Parties:
Encourage your child to help those less fortunate and less healthy by collecting items for the foundation in lieu of gifts.  They can accept a financial donation, Shop Rite gift cards or a collection of games or art supplies for an area hospital.

Our teen volunteers will be available to help with the children at your party to assist with mutually  agreed upon activities, except serving food or as a lifeguard.  You provide the supplies, we provide some helpers. Date to be mutually agreed upon.

Butterfly Bake Sale:
Who doesn’t like a bake sale? School children can get involved in earning community service hours by hosting a Butterfly Bake sale in their school to benefit terminally and chronically ill children.  We will provide you with all the information you need to approach your school’s principal to request  the sale, including a copy of our foundation’s 501(c) 3 Determination Letter.

Dress Down Days:
Does your child attend a private school? Do your children look forward to not wearing their uniform?  Sponsor a “Dress Down” or “Non uniform” day at your school.  Children pay a set fee (agreed upon in advance with the principal and generally about $5 dollars) and are permitted to wear their every-day clothes on a specific date. You can do this once a month or more. The money raised gets donated to Julia’s Butterfly Foundation.  We will provide you with all the information you need to approach your school’s principal to request  the sale, including a copy of our foundation’s 501(c) 3 Determination Letter.
